Wow, I wish the 1951 SC Case my Grandfather bought, in the day, and left on the farm for me to discover how great a tractor it is, looked like this one. Great Job!!!
I'm RVing to the midwest and east coast this summer and intend on bringing an SC back as a primary or back up for my working/cultivating SC. If you know of a one in Great condition, please call me at 559-360-3079. Thanks
Dennis- Stumbled on your blog while researching possible parts for my SC - beautiful work!
Found mine for a steal this last summer at $800. It's a narrow front and all runs/works great already, looking forward to my own restoration in a few years.
My questions for you: A) how is that paint job holding up after two years? and 2) does your SC have a three point hitch? that is the only thing I can't find for mine. Have most of the original Eagle Hitch, but not the arms, or the top link bracket...
Joseph. The paint is good after 4-5 years. The 3 point hitch was easier to build than I imagined. Use the original rock shaft for the lower and construct a place to secure the upper link. I used a 3 inch channel section bolted under the seat mount and the upper hydraulic pump housing bolts. Cheers.
The tractor is used on the farm every year as a 2 row mid mount cultivator. Now I have two of these beauties. Dennis
I have been making cheese since early 2008 in my kitchen in Brooklyn, NY. I started without any intentions. The cheeses turned out pretty good and soon friends encourage me to start a business. I did a little research and concluded that the market could bear another artisanal cheesemaker. I am now in the process of building a small creamery in Walton, NY. I hope to be certified and legal in early 2011.
